What is a Work Breakdown Structure?
A work breakdown structure defines everything a project needs to accomplish, organized into multiple levels, and displayed graphically. It is also referred to as a “hierarchical breakdown” or “decomposition”.
You can think of it as defining the ‘what’ of a project, as it covers everything needed in one single, easy-to-understand tree chart.
