Looking Back on a Year Of Progress

You know that feeling when you look back at your calendar and can't quite believe everything that happened? That's where I am right now as we wrap up 2025.
I've been with Workamajig for over a decade and this this year really stands out. Not because we checked off some corporate to-do list, but because of the conversations I've had with so many of you at conferences and during those bootcamp Q&As where someone always asks the question everyone else was thinking.
I know this year has been busy, so here is a short recap of what made this year amazing.
💴 Workamajig spent a lot of time this year on the financial side of things. I know, I know, accounting isn't exactly thrilling dinner conversation. After hearing from agency owners who wanted even clearer visibility into ways to boost profitability, we elevated many of our accounting and finance capabilities.
👥 The project management overhaul was similar. We added user avatars not because they look cool (though they do), but because we wanted an easier way for teams to have visibility into ownership and responsibility at a glance. Sometimes the simple stuff makes the biggest difference.
🗓️ And those customizable dashboards and UI themes? That one's a bit personal for me. I'm someone who rearranges my desk every few months because I work better when my environment feels right. Your Workamajig dashboard is where you spend hours every day; it should feel like yours.
🌴 Our Project Management and Advanced Accounting bootcamps this year were something special. There's this energy when you get a room full of people who all deal with the same headaches, and suddenly someone shares a workaround they discovered, and everyone's taking notes.
🗣️ Our expert webinar series brought in some incredible outside voices, people who've been in the trenches and have the battle scars to prove it. I love that we could create that space for learning without anyone having to travel or block out entire days.
🏅 The Generative AI + Human Design Scholarship Contest continues to uncover top talent across the country. When we reframed our popular contest to incorporate GenAI, we weren't sure how people would respond to celebrating both AI tools and human creativity in the same breath. This year, Christin Lee from Texas A&M submitted her work, and it just clicked. Her project showed exactly what we hoped for: technology amplifying human vision, not replacing it.
🗒️ The Marketing Agency Grant Directory we launched? This was based on client feedback around a bootcamp event - these sorts of grants enabled our client to send their team to learn and develop themselves professionally, and we were so excited to share that opportunity with others. Our directory came from a practical place of wanting to enable smaller agencies to be able to empower more of their teams without breaking the bank on having to spend hours searching online for grants.
👊 I'm also proud that we became an official partner member of the 4A's this year. Those industry connections aren't just about logos on websites; they give us direct lines to what's actually happening in agencies, what's working, what's driving people up the wall.
Here's what I keep coming back to: everything we did this year was about making your work life a little less chaotic. Stronger tools so you're not fighting your software. Stronger education, so you're not guessing. Stronger community, so you're not figuring it all out alone.
I already have my notebook full of plans for 2026. We've got some features in development that I'm genuinely excited about, and we're planning more opportunities to get together, whether that's virtual or in person.
But here's the thing: this only works if we keep hearing from you. The good and the bad. All of it helps us get better.
