Transcript

Allison Kulik, I am with Sorento where a designer branding agency based out of Flatiron in Manhattan and I'm the operations manager.

Why do you use Workamajig?
As a grand small business we've utilized a lot of different tools. Steven started the company over 10 years ago. I think when it was your was a lot more manual a lot more instinct and as we've grown we realized that we were playing a lot of catch-up trying to mold all those pieces together to get a more comprehensive overview of the companies business health so when Steven started looking around for a new project management tool and stumbled across Workamajig it felt like it would be a good opportunity for us to really deep dive into some more like comprehensive data and feedback from what it is we're doing. I think we didn't always have that retrospective view and this starts to give us a bigger picture of what happened and what might happen and allows us to plan and make better business decisions.

Which pain points does Workamajig solve for your team?
By not having all the data under one roof we're losing some of the impact of the connection that all of that had and so I think this helps us to illustrate to the entire team what everybody's doing in the roles that they play in the larger picture and how it all ladders up to Stevens ability to run the business.

Advice to someone who's ready to implement Workamajig?
I think communicating with the staff on why you're making the decisions you're making and making sure that they have clarity from the bottom up from the get-go is super beneficial because people are not super excited about data entry but when they understand that there's a bigger purpose behind it all I think it feels a little bit more incentive from the team to really commit themselves to make accurate and timely data entry.

Advice for someone considering Workamajig?
We've looked at a lot of different options and Workamajig is definitely the most comprehensive out there that we could find. The staff does still make suggestions like "Oh what about this program" and at the end of the day we always come back to that side-by-side comparison and there isn't a contender that ladders up to all Workamajig's capabilities.

How is Workamajig's customer service?
Customer service is phenomenal. Britney's been supremely helpful in making sure that we feel equipped to continue to utilize new parts of the system and that we're using them effectively for our needs.
