To WIP or not to WIP?  That is the Question

If there’s a proverbial elephant in an agency's room, it’s WIP.  Work In Progress always exists, the only question is, do you ignore it or do you grab it by the trunk?

Agencies that are on top of their WIP accounts undoubtedly have the upper hand when it comes to having a clear grasp on profits and finances. However, according to Vince Dong, Workamajig’s expert software advisor and consultant, the vast majority of agencies DO NOT use the WIP element of their project management software.

Why? Either because they don’t understand it, or because they don’t know how it works in the system. Often, it’s both.

But Vince says ‘you should NOT be very afraid of WIP’, and here’s why.
